Before Vision Therapy: “My husband suffered severe Tramatic Brain Injury as a result of a hit & run accident. Two years past accident he often complained ‘my eyes are shot’, he was dizzy, couldn’t read, was cautious and requiring assistance walking and with stairs. After visiting several optometrists who claimed he had 20/20 vision & nothing was wrong, we found SDCVC. I was somewhat reluctant to begin therapy because motivational and initiation issues were a problem.”
After Vision Therapy: “Gerard never complains of dizziness anymore and is able to navigate freely, only requiring assistance when very fatigued. He can turn his head left & right w/o complaining of ‘swimming’. It was determined he had double vision 15” and further – this is all but eliminated. The therapy exercises assisted in his cognition training and he loved the matrix box self initiating these excercises. I am thrilled that this seemed to kick start him to work independently. The encouraging therapists were good accountability and took the pressure off of me. Thanks again!
